I think it should be added it that he missed his brothers wedding for the X Factor finals, which now he does not speak to him, and he sold a story about him to the papers? --SATURDAYmight. Please add a full stop after the word " point" and before the word "In", in the following sentence in order to create two understandable sentences:

"In 2007, Olly went on Deal or no deal and won £10 after being offered £26,000 at one point In February 2011 it was announced that Murs would participate in the BT Charity Trek, with other celebrities, as part of the 2011 Comic Relief Red Nose Day campaign."

Could someone fix the Info Box, please?

Orphaned references in Olly Murs

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Olly Murs's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "digitalspy1":

  • From Tulisa Contostavlos: "N-Dubz's Tulisa: "I attempted suicide"". Digital Spy. 25 March 2010. Retrieved 23 September 2010.
  • From One Direction: Rebecca Davies (18 September 2011). "One Direction's Liam Payne: 'I effectively died as a baby'". Digital Spy. Hearst Magazines UK. Retrieved 17 March 2012.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 19:17, 19 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Latvia

[edit]

Surely there should be some mention of Murs's success on the Latvian Airplay Chart, given his Latvian ancestry. Skinsmoke (talk) 16:26, 5 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Olly murs

He used to work as a recruitment consultant before he became a successful singer/songwriter. He appeared on X factor (the sixth series) and won runner up that was how his career began. He also appeared on deal or no deal and won £10 then went on the celebrity version, he has been the only person 2 go on the show twice. He used to play football for his school team (Hotleys high school,Braintree,Essex) He supported Manchester United. He's been nominated for many Brit awards but never won any but the days still young. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Smatie (talkcontribs) 20:13, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Christmas Lights

[edit]

The section on the payment for the switching on of the Christmas lights is confusing. The first sentence states he was paid £15,000 to switch on the Christmas Lights in Chelmsford, but is then followed by a sentence about the criticism Renfrewshire Council received about this payment. Chelmsford in is Essex not Renfrewshire, and from reading the reference, these are clearly two different events!

Can someone please amend the second sentence to show this was a second and different lighting ceremony in Paisley, and was not related to the lighting in Chelmsford.
