This article is written in academic jargon

[edit]

It needs to be rewritten in language that the average person can understand. It is unnecessarily obtuse. KarenAnn 15:47, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Worse than that, it is highly POV, given away by the fact that it has more links to petrodollars than eurodollars. --Henrygb 13:10, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually what is worse, is that your claim that it is highly POV is in fact the epitome of POV!

This article is poorly written, not very comprehensive and doesn't cite sources in an appropriate manner, not enough evidence to support claims.

There was a recent emendation made to this article, particular the phrase "cold, calculating." An individual deleted this phrase because he or she believed that it implied ill-moral behavior or conduct. On the contrary, the phrase "cold, calculating" implies amoral conduct, that is whether a behavior is valued bad or good is beside the point or is irrelevant. Decision-making that is cold, and calculating that is void of moral considerations is tantamount to rational choice theory or cost-benefit decision making. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shadowboxers (talkcontribs) 19:56, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
