Alumni Area

[edit]

200.67.211.215, Please observe at least basic etiquette and not shout (using all caps). It further undermines your credibility. The list you developed would be more interesting if you could at least provide the graduating classes. The suggestion was also made that you should provide citations for your sources. To further enhance your credibility, you might consider becoming a registered editor and signing your Talk contributions. --Do go be man 16:13, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE ITEMS FROM THE ALUMNI AREA. THIS TOOK A LOT OF EFFORT ON MY PART TO FIND OUT, INCLUDING THE ATHLETIC SECTION IF YOU DON'T APPRECIATE MY EFFORTS, I WON'T DO ANY MORE WORK ON THE PAGE! (200.67.211.215 1/23/2007)

ugly website

[edit]

palmetto is doomed to have an ugly website and it is doomed to be illmanaged! this must be noted.

That's not a NPOV and doesn't belong on an encyclopedic article. PRueda29 00:40, 11 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Although the site is now being redesigned by the Web Design Class, it's a shame it doesn't reflect how beautiful Palmetto really is. I actually like the old site better, it just could have been a bit neater. But the main problem is that it was not updated often enough

I worked on the old site and it looked awesome until Ms Adj madj or whatever her name is in the Media Center chopped it all up in Frontpage then never updated anything except the stupid Media Center monthly contests. She also was the only one with the ability to edit the page after it was created.

Nice

[edit]

Nice addition to the Palmetto article, but you need to put sections for arts, athletics, and academics. (not necessarily in that order). Nice job kume.

Notable?

[edit]

Founder of http://www.3dtrainer.com was added as one of notable alumni by an IP. Any experienced user please review this. ExterayT.C 01:50, 28 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The alumni has an article, so it's better bring this up on that article instead. Try adding a proposal for deletion on their article so that several users will review it and decided whether or not it is notable. If deemed so, then he can remain on this article, if not and his article is deleted, then he can be removed. -- SmthManly / ManlyTalk / ManlyContribs 02:32, 28 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Notable alumni and state championships

[edit]

All material in Wikipedia must be verifiable, per the verifiability policy. If an alumnus/alumna of the school does not already have an article in Wikipedia establishing notability and attendance at Miami Palmetto, then you will have to list/link to references establishing notability per Wikipedia:Notability (people) in this article. As for the state championships, you will need to cite where such championships are documented, so that readers may verify the championships themselves, if they want to. -- Donald Albury 22:08, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
