Trivia

[edit]

I recently removed, once again, trivia unrelated to the subject of the article. Per WP:Trivia and the essay WP:Handling trivia, including random mention in parody or other media is inappropriate. Just because there was a passing reference in Robot Chicken or Family Guy episode does not mean it belongs in the article. --Jeremy (blah blahI did it!) 23:32, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Picture

[edit]

Can we get a picture for the characters? It doesn't have to be one for each. A group shot would do. But this article would benefit from visuals. -Phoenixrod (talk) 15:26, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Who is Dr. Berlin Fries?

[edit]

This guy sounds made-up, even by McDonaldland standards. I realize there is already a comment asking for source, but this one in particular needs one. A guy that speaks French with an English accent and German-referencing name. If this is real, McDonald's should fire its ad agency. 280.status.net/douglasawh (talk) 22:15, 23 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

McDonaldland Parks

[edit]

From what I have been able to research, some McDonald's locations, at least into the 1980s, featured a McDonaldland Park, which was adjacent to the restaurant. Unlike the "Playplace" found in the front of many McDonald's restuarants, the McDonaldland Park was more like a small, actual park and featured equipment, statues, etc. resembling the McDonaldland characters. I personally remember one such park located directly behind a McDonald's on Orchard Street in Boise, Idaho. However, this is a fenced-off overgrown field today. It would be interesting to see if any of these have been preserved in any way.Cascade1988 (talk) 04:59, 25 January 2015 (UTC)Cascade1988[reply]

Original research and trivia

[edit]

This article badly needs to be cleaned up. I guess it was edited by a fan or enthusiast but it's not very encyclopedic right now. Much of the content is original research, trivia, or badly sourced. Some of the content is unverifiable and should be removed. I've made a few edits but I think more work needs to be done. FuriouslySerene (talk) 17:11, 6 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Grimace

[edit]

Where did this "grog bog' feces information come from? Just vandalism? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dicirnah (talkcontribs) 16:14, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Dicirnah: Was added here on 27 May 2017. I removed it. Thanks for the tip. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:21, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The Griddler

[edit]

Is the Griddler real? No mention of the Griddler online seems to predate the edit which added the Griddler to this page, and pretty much every mention of the Griddler online seems to primarily talk about the lack of evidence for the Griddler's existence. I had added a citation needed tag but it was removed without explanation. Ornithopsis (talk) 17:52, 17 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

lawsuit

[edit]

Which characters were discontinued as a result of the lawsuit? The article reports that Mayor McCheese was the most obvious character plagiarized from the Kroffts' work -- and Officer Big Mac was in the same vein -- but the the Mayor is described as appearing in ads through the 1980s. Why locked? I can’t fix a typo

[edit]

Somebody needs to delete the errant link that was inserted in the middle of the word “some” under the Professor’s section, (“for some reason”). (Signed it the first time, then there was some login issue, so I had to type it again and forgot to sign.) Meve Stills (talk) 21:43, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
