Other shared universes.

[edit]

Consider including WB's MonsterVerse, The Conjuring Universe, & Wizarding World in the cultural impact section. As well as Universal's failed Dark Universe. Speaking of, there doesn't seem to be a mention of Universal releasing The Incredible Hulk. ShiranuiAensland (talk) 10:36, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Universal is mentioned List of Marvel Cinematic Universe films#Theatrical distribution. Gonnym (talk) 12:43, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Per past discussions and consensus, the impact section was meant to focus solely on other superhero attempts, not all shared universe attempts, as that fits within this article's scope. Otherwise it'd just become an exhaustive list. Shared universe and List of fictional shared universes in film and television exists for that. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 18:25, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Timeline is incorrect: 2019–2022 2023 Endgame[164] WandaVision[165] 2024 Shang-Chi[166] The Falcon and the Winter Soldier[167] Eternals[168][169] Far From Home[170] No Way Home[171] Multiverse of Madness[172] Hawkeye[173] 2025 Moon Knight[174] Wakanda Forever[175] Echo[176] She-Hulk[177] Ms. Marvel[178] Love and Thunder[179] The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special[180] 2026 Quantumania[139][140] Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3[141][142] Secret Invasion[143][140] The Marvels[144]

I guess that was just bad luck and the dates shifted. 2023 should be 2019 and 2026 in order to the rest 2023 so that Endgame is 2019 and The Marvels 2023. The rest needs to be correct analog the the first and last entry. Cai0iaC (talk) 13:31, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Cai0iaC Are you referring to the timeline at Marvel Cinematic Universe#As depicted in the MCU? That timeline is correct as it is the order of the events in the films, and not the release order of the films. Jolly1253 (talk) 13:47, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Marvel at Madame Tussauds

[edit]
There's more where that came from

Hello Wikipedians. I recently added this to the article:

"Madame Tussauds museums in several countries have had Marvel exhibits.[1][2][3]"

I was reverted, "not fully MCU-specific. not appropriate for listing here", and I reverted again, so we're at BRRD at the time I write this.

I admit, per inclusion of stuff like Wolverine and Sue Storm, this is not 100% MCU, but per refs used and primary stuff like [1][2][3], it is primarily (or at the very least significantly, but I think primarily is fair) that (sort of the mutual money-making point, I think), and so it fits this article. That is my view.

Trailblazer101, reverting me again (that's fair), said Yet the museum's attractions' only apparent MCU-related statue was Iron Man's. The Hulk one itself is more comics-based, and the sources and information added do not relate to the MCU.

Ref1: "Rebecca Holmes combs Nick Fury's beard. Fury is played in the forthcoming film by Samuel L Jackson".

Ref2:"Just in time for a summer movie season that will witness the release of The Avengers and The Amazing Spider-Man, wax museum Madame Tussauds New York is opening up an interactive Marvel Super Heroes Experience"

Ref3:"The two are Captain America and Iron Man, with the latter standing among a wall of Iron Man armour that is reminiscent of Tony Stark's basement workshop in the movies." Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 19:51, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Fwiw, some more primary-stuff from the other direction:[4] Would "Madame Tussauds museums in several countries have had Marvel exhibits with MCU-elements." be considered an improvement? Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 19:55, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If there are a few MCU-related figures then I wouldn't say it is completely irrelevant, but it also doesn't seem like a whole new subsection is justified when they seem to make figures about every man and his dog. Is there anything unique about the MCU figures that could make this information more useful to our readers? - adamstom97 (talk) 14:55, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Nothing in the Other live attractions section appears unique to me, so if noted org with decent sources isn't in WP:PROPORTION, well, that's what I've got. I put it in a separate sub-section since the other stuff there had sub-sections. If this [5][6] counts as a few or not I don't know. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 17:24, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And on this [7], I'd say without third-party sources, there's WP:PROPORTION-fail. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 17:28, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Gråbergs Gråa Sång, I agree with that they should be mentioned on this article as Madame Tussauds related things could be added (like at some celebrity pages) if the sources exists; but I also agree with @Adamstom.97 that it don't need whole another section. Just simply put a sentence with examples and citation. Littlesquirrell (talk) 11:53, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
IMO, that would look odd in the Marvel_Cinematic_Universe#Other_live_attractions section. Or were you thinking of putting it somewhere else? Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 12:50, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Gråbergs Gråa Sång, either you can put the sentence in between: Other live attractions section and Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. sub-section or you can add more substantial information before creating that section again. Littlesquirrell (talk) 13:06, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Add some missing information

[edit]

"Marvel Studios: Expanding the Universe" was mentioned to be released in november 2019. The actual date is november 12th 2019. Just that.

Current text says: "In November 2019, Disney+ announced that the streaming platform would include Expanding the Universe, a special that features a look at the original MCU TV series for Disney+, with interviews and concept art."

New text should say: "In 2019, Disney+ announced that the streaming platform would include Expanding the Universe, a special featuring a look at the original MCU TV series for Disney+ with interviews and concept art, which was released on November 12, 2019." 186.109.124.127 (talk) 05:10, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have copyedited the information to make it concise while noting the release date, as that is what is more relevant. Trailblazer101 (talk) 05:22, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Deadpool and wolverine

[edit]

Will this movie be added to the timeline because it's part of the phase 5 MCU? XTRM XPRT KILR (talk) 12:57, 5 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There is disagreement about whether it should considering it primarily takes place outside of the Sacred Timeline. - adamstom97 (talk) 13:14, 5 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think it should be decided only after arriving to the Disney+, depends on if it will be on the timline there. IKhitron (talk) 15:37, 12 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
