Academics
[edit]I'm sorry, but this paragraph seems as if it were written for advertising reasons only. It's like the schools mission statement, which I know is very similarly worded. It's going to have to be redone, or else it might as well be scrapped.
The whole article is like an ad for Marshall. This article needs to be fixed up by
someone who has a more npov. Unfortunately, that
would mean someone who does not and has never attended Marshall,
which means they would know less about the school.Pizzadinosaur 12:58, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
I don't think anyone is going to be "convinced" to go to Marshall by a Wiki page (so calling it an "ad" is ridiculous). Plus, it's all factual, so I don't see the problem.
Though I attended Marshall, I tried to clean up this section and make it more matter-of-fact. Some paragraphs were pulled straight from their website. So as a result, it's quite a bit shorter, but I think it feels less like an advertisement now.TickleMeTrotsky (talk) 07:29, 9 December 2016 (UTC)
NPOV, etc
[edit]This entire article needs to be repaired for both NPOV and "advertising". Some of the stuff I've cleaned up was the Our Second Century campaign, which was essentially flaunting Marshall School, and also removed a non-NPOV statement under Athletics.
Fair use rationale for Image:MarshallSchoolLogo.gif
[edit]Image:MarshallSchoolLogo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Is there an easy way to get a new logo uploaded? The logo in question is outdated and doesn't reflect accurate information about the school. It lists Marshall School as a 5-12 school, when it has since changed to 4-12. In addition, the name has been shortened to "Marshall School", instead of "The Marshall School". Can the article title be changed? 66.199.197.89 (talk) 18:45, 20 February 2015 (UTC)[1]
Notable Alumni
[edit]College hockey players should not be considered as famous alumni unless they have achieved a certain legitimate milestone or have won awards. Also, one of the hockey players has not yet enrolled at the school. I have removed these. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.112.100.127 (talk) 20:21, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
