  • A lot the notability of this topic is related to violence against Indigenous women—especially in the journal literature—so I think it's warranted to mention it. I also think leaving out information about what a man camp is makes it more 'hooky'.Larataguera (talk) 01:20, 6 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Larataguera: I agree. I try to make hooks as concise as possible. What do you think of Alt2?
Mgreason, I think Alt2 is fine, thanks! Larataguera (talk) 20:19, 16 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: Done.

@Evrik: I am presently reviewing the article, checking cited sources, etc. I should be finished tomorrow. Mgrē@sŏn (Talk) 18:12, 16 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Evrik: I've finished the review, and everything passes. I'd like to suggest Alt2 as the hook? Shorter hooks grab attention, and it looks like the violence issue is the most important point of the article. Mgrē@sŏn (Talk) 00:14, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good. Go ahead and give this a green check! Thanks.--evrik (talk) 02:38, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I want to add some commas to this hook, as shown in ALT2a below:
ALT2a ... that man camps can overwhelm local infrastructure, including emergency services, and contribute to an epidemic of violence against Indigenous women in North America?
@Evrik and Mgreason: Thoughts? Z1720 (talk) 01:30, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Fine. Mgrē@sŏn (Talk) 17:06, 22 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
