Carlo Alban, illegal immigrant
[edit]Just noting this here, in case it's of use, Carlo was undocumented, unbeknownst to anyone. http://neworleans.broadwayworld.com/article/Southern_Rep_Presents_Carlo_Albans_INTRINGULIS_20110204#ixzz1Dbebx62N -- Zanimum (talk) 00:45, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
Tina Fey?
[edit]I'm wondering about her inclusion here... is it necessary? Because Kyra Sedgwick as Camouflage Carla, David Alan Grier as Aladdin, and Seth Green as Vinny the deliveryman would all qualify by that count. -- Zanimum (talk) 15:20, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
- I think she would've been a guest character alongside the characters done by David Alan Grier, Kyra Sedgwick, and Seth Green. See below for further details. Rtkat3 (talk) 11:27, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
FLC-accredited version
[edit]Following the suggestion of User:The Rambling Man, I have reverted this list to the previous FLC-accredited version. See here [1] for the reasons. Christine (Figureskatingfan) (talk) 16:30, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
- I have been involved in that discussion and I think that we should use this section to sort the Principal Human Characters from the Guest Characters and those who were exclusive to "Around the Corner." As for those who would fit the category of the Noodle family and any comedy duos that appeared in the show, I think they would have their own segment section on the page this talk page is associated with. Rtkat3 (talk) 11:27, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
- I agree with the first part of the above, and intend on making the split today, as has already been discussed. I'm opposed, however, to splitting up lists unnecessarily, because it can get really complicated, especially with these SS lists. If we were to divide up this list as you recommend, with a Around the Corner section, why not create a Post-40th season section? Remember that this list is a FL, so I recommend caution in changing its format. Christine (Figureskatingfan) (talk) 20:02, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
- For what it's worth, major changes to existing featured lists will result in the list being nominated at WP:FLRC to ensure that it still meets the standards expected by the community for a featured list. As Christine has said above, go with caution if you intend a major overhaul of the list; indeed if you intend to make considerable edits, I suggest you either gain consensus to do that beforehand or notify the featured list community that you've radically changed the list since it was promoted. The Rambling Man (talk) 20:21, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks, RM. This brings up a question for me, one that I'd like to have answered before I create the new sections as mentioned above. If I were to do that--divide up this list into a "Regular cast members" section and a "Guest characters" section--would that substantially change it to the point that it'd be delisted? If your answer is yes, it would, that would of course, change my mind about following Rtkak3's suggestions. Christine (Figureskatingfan) (talk) 20:34, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
- I suppose the best way of dealing with any kind of major change is to either do it mainspace and face the public, or do it in a sandbox and get feedback before rolling it into mainspace. I'm happy to look at anything you suggest Christine. The Rambling Man (talk) 21:35, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
- Ok, I've done as you suggest.[2] Looking at it, I'm not sure I like it, because the "Guest stars" section isn't that big, and it begs the question: What is the criteria for putting someone there? One episode? Less than five? I wanted to avoid a list of celebrity guest stars, since that's a different list than characters. I suggest we keep the list as is, FLC-accredited and all. Jack is missing
[edit]Remember how Jack Black told us about octagons? He's not here! Can someone do it for me? EMachine03 (talk) 23:18, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
- @EMachine03: Ew, Jack Black, I really don't like that guy. My favorite part of The Muppets (film) was when the Muppets kidnapped him and tied him up. ;) Seriously, this list is characters of Sesame Street; not guest stars, so it wouldn't fit here. Bob, Gordon, and Luis
[edit]I just went back and changed--again--the appearance dates for these characters. Folks, please stop changing the dates. It's been well-publicized that the actors were not let go in 2016, or they were and then the SW walked it back due to public backlash. This list includes articles that support this. As long as I'm involved in the upkeep of this list, any changes will be reverted, so you're wasting your time--and mine. Christine (Figureskatingfan) (talk) 04:41, 9 November 2017 (UTC)
Searchable table by years
[edit]The table is fixed, if you don't know the actors' name but you know the year, currently you can't search for them easily because there are too many and the years are not chronological. I think it would be better if the entire table was searchable by name and year, otherwise it's just a glorified list. 146.200.202.126 (talk) 16:30, 20 June 2022 (UTC)
