How is she an anarchist? She seesm to support groups that support big government. Is she listed as an anarchist, because she says she is..if I self-identify as a hat..does that make me a hat? 98.117.68.110 (talk) 01:16, 15 October 2011 (UTC)

If this video is NOT showing that she's an anarchist then I don't know. Leaked Video: Shutdown DC w/ Lisa Fithian — Preceding unsigned comment added by Redphantom (talk • contribs) 21:59, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
- Video is now blocked by YouTube for violating their "Community Standards". Seems like Big biz Google supports her actions. 2601:649:280:3E30:2005:E18A:7312:21B0 (talk) 15:19, 1 May 2024 (UTC)

Possible COI
[edit]An editor with a similar name to the subject has been editing. Ifnord (talk) 18:44, 31 July 2020 (UTC)
"helping the students launch an occupation of Hamilton Hall on April 29th and kidnap a facilities worker.[4] "
[edit]This is tendentious and not supported by the source. Fithian did indeed work with Columbia students, but there is no evidence she "helped" kidnap a worker. Indeed the claim that anyone was kidnapped seems limited to one worker angry that he could not get out of the building as quickly as he wanted. Kidnapping is a very serious crime, as is aiding it. Paid protest consultant info missing on the article
[edit]It seems some overzealous editors have quickly "protected" this article to control the spread of news and shape public opinion. There is no vandalism nor contentious edit history here yet this article is being protected and anything negative is being deleted, even when supported by RS.
NBC news[1] reported: "Fithian could be one of the people responsible for training the protesters in the tactics they used to occupy Hamilton Hall] and "Fithian is no stranger to high-profile protests. For roughly 50 years, she has participated in demonstrations for a dizzying array of causes at home and abroad, racking up scores of arrests.".
NYT[2] stated: "Videos show Lisa Fithian, whom the police called a “professional agitator,” working alongside protesters who stormed Hamilton Hall.", "Videos from the scene also show Ms. Fithian later using a profanity to describe the counterprotesters, and insisting to them that “this is a historic moment.”", and quoted her as saying "“It’s my life’s work,” she said on Tuesday. “Of course, if I can get paid for it, I want to. If it’s an organization bringing me in to train staff, of course I want to get paid."
CBS[3] stated: "...she is seen directing protestors as they tie a table to a door." and "She was on (Columbia's) campus Monday night into Tuesday morning."
Fox News[4] reported: "Fithian was seen on video instructing a mob of anti-Israel agitators as they took over an academic building at Columbia University." and "Fithian is a professional "protest consultant" who has been arrested over 80 times".
NYPD[5] stated: Fithian is a "Confirmed Professional Agitator".
All of these sources can and should enhance this article. To the editor(s) that locked this article, will you reply?
