Kunsthaus = Art,house - I think I'd translate this as Art Gallery or Arts center, rather than Art Museum - Museums to me are places where historical things are displayed rather than contemporary things; and Art house has a meaning in Film (Movies) in the UK. --Mcginnly | Natter 10:26, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually no - I think this may be one of those US/UK differences - the Museum of Modern Art - The Guggenheim Museum etc.etc. yep, I'm talking out of my Kyber again. --Mcginnly | Natter 10:39, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

errichtet - comes up quite a bit in German architecture articles - babelfish and google always translate it as established but it can also mean simply "built" or "constructed".

In the concept section - Ausrichtung - I looked up Ausrichten instead and one of the meaning is "to stage" rather than "adjustment".

I'm the last one to suggest dumbing-down the encylopedia but can we find a better english word than "museological" requirements - how about curatorial - maybe not any better........mmmmmmm.......?

Yay! CC-BY images at Flickr - gotta love that site - http://flickr.com/photos/watz/173698278/in/set-72157594155216927/. --Mcginnly | Natter 14:32, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Explain revert of major revision

[edit]

I just reverted a major revision by an anonymous user, because the new text made the problem of being more like an essay than an encyclopedia article worse. It also added lots of information without adding citations for that new information.

For example, the lead paragraph did not start with a concise description of just what this is. See Wikipedia:Lead section for more on what that should do.

If you are the editor who made those edits, perhaps you can start by adding some references (here or on the page) and then we can help guide integration of that information into the article in a more appropriate way.
