The section on surrounding area has little or no relevance to the article, I propose removing it.--Epocalypse2 09:36, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Room for population in the info box? 4090 is the best I can come up with but will investigate further.--Epocalypse2 10:04, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Remove reference to Jedburgh Teams. They had absolutely no association with the town other than coincidence of name?--Epocalypse2 10:06, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

U.S. OSS & the British Special Operations Executive (SOE) trained commandos--unconventional warfare (UW)--at Jedburgh during World War II. The OSS called those "Jedburgh teams"; e.g., as cited by Aaron Bank in his "From OSS to Green Berets." BubbleDine (talk) 21:31, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't the Scots Inglis form of the town be above the Gaelic one? As the region was historically Anglic speaking and not Gaelic. Sorry Gaelic nationalists, the Borders are no more Gaelic than Cornwall is Anglic, and possibly less so as at least English is regularly spoken in Cornwall. I can't see why Gaelic is given prevelance over the Anglic language spoken in the area, except to satisfy someones Nationalistic and Anti-Anglian agenda! Sigurd Dragon Slayer (talk)

Gaelic was spoken by the Kings of Northumbria during the period of Iona's influence on the development of Lindesfarne, and was never completely absent from any part of Scotland's history. 92.235.178.44 (talk) 18:12, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
