Royal Society
[edit]According to this source (p. 127), he was never a fellow of the Royal Society. The link to the source claiming he was is broken. Should the statement be removed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.252.32.137 (talk) 14:32, 14 December 2019 (UTC)
Now I found the "source" for the claim. It entails no such information so I remove. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.252.32.137 (talk) 14:35, 14 December 2019 (UTC)
- It clearly says "In 1667 he was elected a corresponding member of the British Royal Society" DuncanHill (talk) 14:45, 14 December 2019 (UTC)

jan marek marci never joined the society of jesus
[edit]the story about JMM joining jesuits briefly before his death seems to be an urban legend spread by jesuits them-selves to cope with the work of JMM, as they heavily criticised it through all his life, mostly his medical one. in the supposed testament he was said to resign on all his achievements which were stated by jesuits to be in contradiction to the teaching of catholic church. the document used by jesuits to prove their claim survived, but it contains only a seal of JMM and some yellow spot supposedly to be a JMM's fingerprint, but there is no authorised signature on the document.
