Is there a way to re-word the first sentence to avoid confusion with AU?

Someone who is an expert, please rewrite Awards and Honors
[edit]This section is densely packed with obscure information that makes sense to people in the field. There is hardly anything about what his innovations/inventions mean to the public. Surprisingly (?) the last cited reference does contain a concise description of the significance of his work, so why not excerpt more of that? https://awards.acm.org/about/2021-turing It's only a one-page press release.
