Succession Boxes for RS Presidents
[edit]Articles on LDS Relief Society Presidents seem appropriate. I think that succession boxes would be good as well. Placing this one on the article. WBardwin 17:26, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Except there doesn't appear to be a way to indicate the 23 year interregnum in the presidency due to the hiatus of the organization with this template. --Blainster 17:21, 22 July 2005 (UTC)
Love of Joseph
[edit]"Joseph would remain her one true love"?? What's the basis for a statement like that, and how does it help the article? Sounds like speculation. Wesley 15:34, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
- Well, she said it and wrote it several times, if memory serves. She kept a detailed journal of her trip away from Nauvoo and talked about her grief at his death. And her "marriage" to Young was probably in name only. They did not reside or travel together and reportedly were very formal when they met, generally on Church business. It would be good to find a quote. WBardwin 09:24, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
Middle Name
[edit]Was her middle name "Roxcy" (in the article title) or "Roxey" (in the article body)? Idiotoff 17:54, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
- My sources say Roxcy, and cite Roxey as a common mispelling. Anyone else? WBardwin 09:21, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
LDS Church records (Ancestral file) very clearly indicate "Roxey" From the Ancestral file Individual Record FamilySearch™ Ancestral File v4.19

Eliza Roxey SNOW (AFN: 272Q-KP) Sex: F -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Event(s): Birth: 21 Jan 1804 Becket, Berkshire, Massachusetts Death: 5 Dec 1887 Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Ut Burial: Dec 1887
Further, all LDS Church publications spell the name Roxey. A search for "Roxcy" in the LDS database returns nothing.
G Hill
- Her biographer, Maureen Ursenbach Beecher, identifies the proper spelling as Roxcy and cites Roxey as the common mispelling. This material is quoted in the Encyclopedia of Mormonism/Church History, edited by Daniel H. Ludlow, published by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints/Deseret Book.WBardwin 05:38, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
