Number of successful landings
[edit]I believe that it was on his third landing that he died, not his second. Sources to support this include:
- "Ark Royal": Sailing into Glory by Mike Rossiter. ISBN: 0552153699
However, the following sources all state that his was his second:
http://www.rjerrard.co.uk/royalnavy/crowood/crowood.html
- http://www.btinternet.com/~warship/Feature/history.htm
Clarification is required.

Location of trials
[edit]The article says Furious was in Scapa Flow during the landings, but http://www.testflyingmemorial.com/1915-18.htm says he took of from the Isle of Grain, Kent onto the ship in the English Channel. Any other sources for location? MilborneOne (talk) 11:52, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
Landings and Location
[edit]According the the log of HMS Furious. The tragedy happened the third time Dunning tried to land in total but it was only the second attempt that day.
The location was in Orphir bay in Scapa Flow. —Preceding unsigned comment added by AOPTechie (talk • contribs) 15:04, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
