Background and election
[edit]I've improved this section a little, but it's still rather imprecise and could do with someone knowledgeable nailing down some of the detail. For example, it's completely unclear whether the "217 representatives" were before the Pakistani members withdrew, and whether this number was before or after the addition of representatives from the princely states. Presumably the states' members were appointed on the sole authority of their respective rulers, given that none (?) of the states had representative bodies, but this isn't clear from the article; and it's also not clear at all when these additional members were added. Statements that Congress had a "majority" of 69% or 82% presumably mean that those figures were the party's percentage of the total seats available, but no other figures are provided in the article to verify this. And so on... Andrew Gwilliam (talk) 12:24, 5 June 2011 (UTC).
this is worst of all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.173.84.158 (talk) 11:28, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
Starting Re-Creation of Article
[edit]Article Constitution Assembly of India lays important stones for Drafting the Constitution of India. As I have created the Portal:Laws in India and Constitution of India is the Most Important Article of Indian Legal Portal as basic governing law of land. I want to create maximum number of Featured Articles of Portal:Laws in India on Wikipedia. Thus, started to re-create the whole article but I can only contribute time from my schedule daily, the article would be completed in the parts and let everybody know the completion of Article and would re-submit article for assessment. During this period if anybody have any suggestions would be great. Vineet Gupta , Advocate, 605, Sector 10D, Chandigarh (talk) 18:39, 4 April 2014 (UTC)

Disbanding
[edit]The assembly wasn't disbanded in January 1950, it only changed its tasks. As the article says the same assembly continued as provisional parliament until 1951. Of course this might also warrant an individual article as an individual body, the legal circumstances, if it remained the same body recieving new tasks or a new body was founded on the basis of taking the same members, aren't explained but I think there wouldn't be much to say about that provisional parliament and although there is only a single sentence in this article here, there is no individual article or red-link currently and it gets only mentioned here (even not in the 1st Lok Sabha article). So, I think it woulde be appropriate to make it clear that the constituent assembly did not stop work in 1950 and dissolved without replacement but continued their legeslative work until 1952. --SamWinchester000 (talk) 01:05, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
