ORIGINAL/CURRENT:
"The Columbine High School massacre, often simply referred to as Columbine, was a school shooting and a failed bombing that occurred on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School in Columbine, Colorado, United States.[b] The perpetrators, twelfth-grade students Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, murdered twelve students and one teacher. Ten of the twelve students killed were in the school library, where Harris and Klebold subsequently died by suicide. Twenty-one additional people were injured by gunshots, and gunfire was also exchanged with the police. Another three people were injured trying to escape. The Columbine massacre was the deadliest mass shooting at a K-12 school in U.S. history, until December 2012.[c] Columbine is still considered one of the most infamous massacres in the U.S. for inspiring many other school shootings and bombings; the word "Columbine" has since become a byword for modern school shootings. Columbine still remains both the deadliest mass shooting and the deadliest school shooting to occur in the U.S. state of Colorado. "

I did it wrong, i changed the line " Columbine still remains both the deadliest mass shooting and the deadliest school shooting to occur in the U.S. state of Colorado. " to Columbine still remains one of the deadliest mass shootings and the deadliest school shooting to occur in the U.S. state of Colorado. " to be more accurate.
Not done for now:Loveless91 I'm unclear on why that change would be made, isn't it still the the deadliest mass shooting and the deadliest school shooting to have occurred in Colorado? Why would we make it more vague? Bestagon ⬡ 23:27, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It does seem confusingly worded, though. If the deadliest mass shooting in a given state is a school shooting, then isn't it also the deadliest school shooting in that state? Was something else meant here? We don't list it as the most deadly in the US in List of school shootings in the United States by death toll, so it shouldn't say deadliest school shooting in the United States. I'm not really sure what it should say. McYeee (talk) 23:34, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
We could change it to "As of 2024, Columbine is still the deadliest school shootings in Colorado and one of the deadliest mass shootings in the United States." McYeee (talk) 23:43, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

remove the sentence "Columbine still remains both the deadliest mass shooting and the deadliest school shooting to occur in the U.S. state of Colorado." after the first paragraph because its a repeat of the last sentence in the first paragraph Kingdinocharge (talk) 22:15, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I removed the second version but I've self reverted as I'm unsure which statement needs removing. Sorry about that. Some further input would be better before I make any further changes. Knitsey (talk) 07:31, 24 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
