Failed GA Criteria
[edit]I could not pass this article due to the majority of the article being sourced from only one reference. On that reference I couldn't find substantial references on it either. Please expand references with more verifiable ones and resubmit. Jazznutuva 15:53, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- This decision has been subject to a review. The result of the discussion was "no consensus", and so the failure of the nomination is upheld, but without strong endorsement from Good article review. Nevertheless, the review generated a lot of suggestions for improving the article: the discussion can be found here. Geometry guy 13:05, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
Problems found in the article
[edit]I have read the article and have found problems with it, they are listed below:
- Needs more references
- The wording throughout the article is bad for an example the introduction states “The Chrysler Sunbeam was a small supermini 3-door hatchback…” we already known that it is a small car, that is why it is called a super mini.
- Try to become more accurate with the years and times throughout the article, instead of just saying “in the mid 1970’s……”.
- The article desperately needs more info about the dimensions of the car.
- Fix the grammar and wording.
Try looking at the Ford BA Falcon article, it is not a good article yet but it will be soon. The article is better than yours and can be used as an idea of what needs to be fixed in your article. Once the problems have been addressed then you can re nominate your article.SenatorsTalk | Contribs 00:02, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Their is an error in the article.
The Fascia and most of the interior came not from the Simca 1307/ Chrysler Alpine, but the facelifted Avenger, which was also produced at Linwood having been moved from Ryton in 1976. The Fascia was in the very modern style of the Alpine, although finish was some what cheaper, lacking the separate fresh air vents. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.171.32.245 (talk) 16:04, 14 May 2011 (UTC)
The headlights did not come from the facelifted Avenger, but from the preceding lower spec square headlight Avengers. The intention was to use the Horizon lights but they were not available in time, so a quick fix was put in using the old lights with a chrome surround. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.171.32.245 (talk) 16:08, 14 May 2011 (UTC)
