Security (section)

[edit]

Should this be included?: http://www.infoworld.com/d/security/malware-abuses-chromium-embedded-framework-developers-fight-back-215190

Not sure it's noteworthy (and only applies to CEF, and not Chromium or Chrome). Would their pages list security issues? Is this becuase they use out of date Chromium code (I don't know). comp.arch (talk) 16:30, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This was an abuse of the Downloads section on the CEF project website, this is not a security issue in CEF itself (as in framework), the malware authors could have used equally well any other library/framework for embedding web browser control in their application, it's irrelevant whether this would be Chromium, WebKit, Firefox or any library based on these.
