[edit]Very interesting topic. I'd like to see how the business ethics side to this would tie in. Are there children being sent to hospices solely for profit? I know that there are crazy cases out there. I saw that there was a reference to children charities, perhaps there's some more information through that link. I'm not quite sure where to find your edits, but I would add more to the intro. The material looks clean and concise, but I sense myself looking for more. It's very much like a "list." Nevertheless, loved the topic, just waiting to see the connection between the business side of things! Rayal021 (talk) 03:18, 4 April 2019 (UTC)User:Rayal021 4/3/2019
Individual
[edit]I've noticed that there aren't many pages on individual hospices (I've only found two so far). I'm new to editing but would be happy to do a list of UK children's hospices with links to the appropriate external pages. I'd be interested in writing pages for the three hospices I'm familiar with (none of which have pages). Is this something that would be useful? I'd also be happy to reword the tone of this page, but I'm not sure what specifically is inappropriate Kebl2693 23:34, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- What is inappropriate is that this page is little more than a directory. Delete the organisations and provide instead some information on how hospice differs for kids vs adults, history of the children's hospice movement, and any pertinent cultural issues. Also add links to WP pages re respite care, visiting nurses, etc. --Una Smith (talk) 20:26, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
- Linking as a directory is a valid enough way to begin. We can use sources that have sites because they are good references. Tyciol (talk) 21:49, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

"In the early 1970s many experts realized that the medical education was not designed and physicians were not trained to deal with ethical issues associated with new technologies such as mechanical ventilation, dialysis and transplantation. After the creation of such technology kidney failure was sure to be fatal, now physicians were starting to make choices about where, when, and how someone could die." Wouldn't it be before such technology? I'm not familiar enough with the source to edit the claim, but it seems nonsensical as-is. 6DollarSuit (talk) 01:35, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
