Missing in the schools sections are:

• Riverview Elementary School
• Boyd Junior High School
• Garnet High School which is now on the National Archives and is renamed Garnet Career Center a WV Exemplary School

Also missing are the following notables: William Anthony (Tony) Brown, former journalist and commentator of Tony Brown's Journal on the Public Broadcasting System Lewis (Lou) Myers, actor (from adjacent Cabin Creek, died in Charleston in 2013). Tallest buildings

The tallest buildings listed in the article appear to be from:

Is there a better reference? I suspect this list in no longer accurate as I can't find any information on a Dow Chemical building. Dow obtained a tall building (Building 82) in South Charleston from Union Carbide, but it was imploded in 2009. Sandcherry (talk) 23:24, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

No mention of population collapse?

It appears the city has lost half (!) it's population since the 1960 census but this is not mentioned at all in the article. Anybody know why this happened? This is a population collapse. Mattximus (talk) 01:18, 25 May 2021 (UTC)

This isn't uncommon in northern cities or amongst cities in West Virginia. Some of it is people leaving the area, some is just people moving outside of city limits. I'm not sure there's anything particularly noteworthy here. Bitmapped (talk) 21:12, 25 May 2021 (UTC)

Half of the reduction was between 1960 and 1980. This coincides with the deindustrialization of the U.S. northeast and the chemical industry relocation to the Gulf Coast. Add Charles Manson to list of Notable People?

Charles Manson spent time living in North Charleston as a child and attended Dunbar Elementary. See https://archive.org/details/isbn_9781451645163_0 and search for "Charleston." Here is another source with original newspaper clippings and images: https://www.mywvhome.com/seventies/manson.html. It's difficult to tell how long he spent living there, though. Neither the Wikipedia page nor the book mention it explicitly, but it seems as though he spent 1942-1943 in Charleston before his family moved to Indianapolis. I want others to weigh in on this.
