Article Rename
[edit]Move to "SPACE: The Imagination Station"? CHUM spells it in all-caps here and all over the channel's official website. Msgohan 09:46, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
- Hmmm. I know a couple of folks who work there. I'll see if I can get an opinion from them on this. Doug A Scott (4 8 15 16 23 42) 16:22, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
Imagination Station tagline
[edit]I think the Imagination Station tagline should be removed from the article, I live in Canada, and have never heard The Imagination Station being used as the tagline, or at least for the past 10 years. - 99.243.247.227 22:55, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
- I think the problem lies mostly in calling "The Imagination Station" a tagline. It's not and it never was. It's more of a subtitle, one that was used pretty consistently until their mini-rebranding a couple of years back. Let me try to make that sentence more appropriate. ... There. How's that? - Doug A Scott (4 8 15 16 23 42) 21:44, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
- So true, Doug. Thanks for fixing that. Really confused/bugged me because as someone who lives in Canada and scrolls past that channel all the time, I never heard that subtitle being used. The biggest issue for me was the article used to be called "Space: The Imagination Station", and now it is just "Space (TV channel)". The former title made it seem like "The Imagination Station" always had to accompany SPACE, as if not including the subtitle made it wrong or something. Anyway, thanks again. - 99.243.247.227 01:48, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:SPACE logo.jpg
[edit]Image:SPACE logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Stargate SG-1 Airing
[edit]As SG-1 is now over, it seems that this passage is out of date (Second Para of History). 74.14.16.252 (talk) 16:29, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Article name (again)
[edit]There are two issues here:
- some editors sem to think that the name of the station is "SPACE: The Imagination Station" and therefore the article should be so named. Taking a look at the station's website, however, shows that that name is used only infrequently. In fact, it does not currently appear on the home page: only "SPACE" is used.
- should the article name be "SPACE (TV channel)" or "Space (TV channel)"? Wikipedia:Manual of Style (trademarks) is clear on this: standdard English capitalization is preferred over corporate styling. So, the article should be called "Space (TV channel)" in keeping with WIkipedia style, rather than the all-caps version perferred by the corproation. The channel can capitalize iits name in whatever way it wants in its marketing materials, but Wikipedia style is to use standard English capitalization. I will make hte change in a few days' time. Ground Zero | t 23:02, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
- I personally have preference to use SPACE in all caps, I feel that if that's the official way that the channel spells its name, then the article should be written that way regardless, so I would throw a vote that way but if that's the rules of Wikipedia, then so be it, it should be spelled "Space". I don't agree however that 'The Imagination Station' should be used in the title, Space never refers to itself as The Imagination Station anymore, its an outdated tagline that I believe they dropped years ago. Thanks for the heads up on the issue though btw. MusiMax (talk) 21:55, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. I was hoping for feedback from more people, but this seems to be it. I think that the Manual of Style pulls ranks here -- I didn't write it, but it does encompass the Wikipedia style, so i think we have to go with that. Thanks again. Ground Zero | t 21:03, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Program list
[edit]There are quite a few problems with the programs list. It's woefully outdated, to start. I have moved a few obviously-ended series such as Galactica and Terminator out of the "first run" column because they can't be first run if they're no longer being made. A better idea might be to simply create an overall list of series aired by Space and not bother differentiating between whether it's first run or rerun or still running. 68.146.81.123 (talk) 20:04, 9 June 2010 (UTC)
I agree. At the very least, Merlin should be moved to the rerun section, since it's been cancelled, Atlantis should be added to the current run, and some of the non-fic shows like The Nerdist, Fangasm, Naked Vegas are nowhere on the list. 24.138.176.247 (talk) 15:03, 30 December 2013 (UTC)
Program overlap
[edit]The episode of Star Trek Enterprise that reran this morning was "Doctor's Orders" where Dr. Phlox muses "I should have never let Commander Tucker talk me into watching The Exorcist last night."
Today is also the scheduled premier of The Exorcist (TV series) season finale, episode 10 "Three Rooms".
Isn't that too strange to be coincidence considering that Enterprise airs daily Tuesdays to Saturdays and they've been airing it in entirety from the start of the series to promote the upcoming Trek Discovery show?
Is there any evidence from the planners at Space that they timed the debut of Enterprise so that it would reach this episode exactly when Exorcist concluded? Ranze (talk) 02:07, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
