My minor edits

[edit]

I deleted the 's' from "Himalayas" since the name is Nepalese, and refers to the entire mountain range, in the singular. I also substituted "forbs" for "herbs" because grasses are herbs; forbs are those herbaceous plants that are not graminoids. BeetleBob (talk) 20:46, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Where in the family?

[edit]

I have added a summary of where the animal is in the sheep-goat-etc. subfamily. The information - or at least, a suggested solution to the question - is here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caprinae#Evolution. The reference given on that page is: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0277379118306929?via%3Dihub.

I'm afraid I shall have to beg some clever and long suffering gnome to insert the reference in page though - being very dyslexic and not very competent with the technical stuff!

If there are other theories from other forms of evidence they should probably be included too.
