Although Wikipedia should not report the news, it should cover the full story when it includes incidents that have been reported in the news, and the details are known. Like, how the perpetrators were interrupted by a police patrol and were apprehended, along with their trial and sentencing. Also, explain the support provided to the victim, as well as how she had unfortunately acquired her medical condition in the first place - and consider if that is even relevant. Also explain why this crime happened in the first place and provide any insights revealed as a result of any investigations or review of how such crimes are now being prevented or might be prevented in the future.
