29 January 2023

  • 22:3822:38, 29 January 2023 diff hist −15 Fred Hampton I removed the title of Assassination from the head of Mr. Hampton's death and from the Death Cause. Assassination is something alleged by those sympathetic to Mr. Hampton's political activities. Assassination has been alleged, but never proven in the court of law, and it is inappropriate and misleading to readers to overtly accuse the FBI and Chicago Police Department of murder based on accusations made by political allies of Mr. Hampton, not proven in any court case/official government inquest. • 22:1222:12, 6 September 2022 diff hist +1,733 Execution of Saddam Hussein Legality: This article "Execution of Saddam Hussein" section Legality only has content and statements critical of the hearing. It has no statements from legal experts at the time who were supportive of the trial and defended its legality. I am including statements made by legal experts at the time who were quoted in a New York Times article defending the legality and fairness of the trial, due its partisan nature and lack of presenting both sides of the argument rather than only one.

I merged the two sentences about Dan Crenshaw on the View and PolitiFact's response and shortened it to make it less political and lean more nuetral.

  • 04:1604:16, 31 December 2021 diff hist −5 Jim Keady Hurricane Sandy: The statement, "Over the three months following the confrontation, more recovery funds were disbursed than in the prior three years" was removed because upon reviewing the source, this statement is actually a quote from Jim Keady, not a statement of fact from the article. Added that Mr. Keady ran for Congress after the experience highlighted in this section, using the orginal article source.

Removed added political commentary (criticisms of 3/4 white jury) from opinion article that are personal opinion and not relevant to case.

The matter over whether enhanced interrogation techniques, whether one, some, or all, of the the methods can fit the legal definition of torture. Alleged therefore needs to be be added into the first sentence due to that fact.
  • 00:5900:59, 2 July 2021 diff hist +26 Enhanced interrogation techniques Consequence of failing to prosecute: The term that should have been used was enhanced interrogation techniques. The article title calls enhanced interrogation techniques torture. If the word torture was to be used, it should have had quotes around it. The proper term should have stated enhanced interrogation techniques, as there is still debate over whether all enhanced interrogation techniques fit the legal definition of torture. Tag: Reverted
  • 00:4900:49, 2 July 2021 diff hist −494 Mitt Romney General election: I decided to cut out a sentence I had added on a previous revision and instead put the sources to the prior sentence. I had made the addition regarding the statement being a focal point for Democratic attacks, and I feel including several comments outside the administration were too much content, and didn't match with the prior sentence I had added. I decided to cut them out and stick to the then administration's responses to the comment.

  • 02:3002:30, 17 June 2021 diff hist +4 m Mitt Romney General election: I just added the word "the" in the sentence, "...and continued to defend his position into the Presidential debates", to fix a grammatical error I made in an earlier edit.

  • 02:1102:11, 17 June 2021 diff hist −177 Mitt Romney General election: There were several issues regarding grammar but also of framing. "Luke Johnson of the ''Huffington Post'' attacked Romney for his foreign policy positions, specifically on Russia" didn't have a quote to it, and it was posted before the topic sentence, "Romney would also be attacked for..", rather than after that opening topic sentence to the paragraph. I also changed up the second sentence as the edits that came afterwards had grammar and structure issues.
  • 01:5801:58, 17 June 2021 diff hist −20 m Ben Carson Decline in polls: Deleted an unnecessary comment that was pulled from the source, which wasn't put properly in quotation marks, and insinuated a position that couldn't be verified. If a political figure says a state or states, such as the Baltic states, should "get involved in NATO", that doesn't mean the person was unaware the mentioned states were in NATO. The individual could have been saying they feel the states should get more involved in the organization than they are currently.
  • 01:4401:44, 17 June 2021 diff hist +8 m Enhanced interrogation techniques Calling Enhanced Interrogation Techniques as torture is debatable. There is still debate as to whether methods used in enhanced interrogation techniques can be considered torture. This is why the word "alleged" needs to be added, to reflect that. Tag: Reverted

When it comes to specific conflicts, such as the Iraq War, people aren't either Pro-War or Anti-War; nobody sensible likes war for the sake of war. People are either Pro-Intervention, for getting militarily involved, or Anti-Intervention, for not getting militarily involved. Calling someone Pro-War is an attempt to disparage someone.
