Cambial Yellowing is attempting to delete factual, documented information in favour of a pejorative characterisation. The terms 'left-wing' and 'right-wing' are divisive generalisations that are often incorrect (https://www.dictionary.com/e/words-divide-us/). In this case, only editorial critics use the term and the BBC style manual considers it inappropriate. Tags: Undo Reverted nowiki added

  • 14:0414:04, 7 August 2023 diff hist −36 Institute of Economic Affairs Removed the editorial use of 'right wing' and 'pressure group' as such terms are pejorative assessments by journalist arguing against the IEA. The BBC has agreed that it will not use such terms as they are not factual or accurate. Thus BBC style guide is that the IEA is to be referred to as a free market think tank because that is what it is. Tags: Reverted Visual edit
  • 08:4608:46, 7 August 2023 diff hist +72 Institute of Economic Affairs changed the wording to be accurate rather than editorial. Previous language inaccurately suggested that the material published did not recognise climate change. That is not true. The materials agree that there is climate change, but note the inaccuracies in the modelling and suggest that if the changes are caused by human activity, the best response would be innovation.
