- Yes, Ullaskar Dutta. He crafted the bomb that was used by Khudiram Bose and Prafulla Chaki in Mujaffarpur on 30 April 1908. The police had initial success in busting the gang on 2 May 1908 (exactly 100 years back, today). The case that followed was the Alipore Bomb Case.
- Ullaskar Dutta was incarcerated in the Cellular Jail. He suffered from some psychiatric illness, probably schizophrenia, and spent some time in the Madras Lunatic Asylum. Later, he returned to Bengal, and after 10 years of partition, came back to Calcutta. Meanwhile, he traced his love of life (who had been married and widowed by that time), and re-united (probably married), although she had become bed-ridden due to partial paresis.
