The Pivdennodonbaska 3 coal mine is a large coal mine located in the south-east of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast. Pivdennodonbaska 3 represents one of the largest coal reserves in Ukraine having estimated reserves of 156.9 million tonnes.[1] The annual coal production is around 1.42 million tonnes. Footage from the 15 September 2024 has shown that the Mine was captured by Russian Armed Forces who demolished a Mining Tower with explosives.[2]
