The Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) is a Nigerian company established under the Companies and Allied Matters Act. It is fully owned by the Federal, State, and Local governments of Nigeria.[4][5][6][7][8]

The company was created to address the power supply challenges in the Niger Delta region and across the country. NDPHC is responsible for implementing the National Integrated Power Projects (NIPP), which aim to improve electricity generation, transmission, and distribution infrastructure. Through these projects, NDPHC seeks to enhance the reliability and availability of power, contributing to the overall economic development and stability of Nigeria.

The Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) was set up in August 2005 to manage the National Integrated Power Projects (NIPP). These projects were funded by the Excess Crude Savings Account, which is shared by the Federal, State, and Local Governments.[8][4]

NDPHC is a limited liability company that uses business practices similar to those in the private sector. Its main goal is to improve Nigeria’s electricity supply by building and maintaining power plants and other related infrastructure.

Managing director

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) is Engineer Jennifer Adighije. She was appointed to this position by President Bola Tinubu on August 19, 2024.[9][10]
