Monireh Gorji (Persian: منیره گرجی) is an Iranian teacher[3] and mujtahid.[2] She was the only woman to be elected to the 73-seats Assembly of Experts for Constitution in 1979.[3] The Assembly of Experts is a framework of Iran that is responsible for electing and overseeing the Supreme Leader.
Works and contributions
[edit]Gorji's works and contributions have been part of different articles and academic sources, such as a 1980 article titled "Women in the Islamic Republic of Iran". She has also contributed to Islamic Feminism in Iran, requoting and highlighting the importance of women rights and roles in accordance to the Holy Quran.
