Kurka (Persian: كوركا)[a] was a village in, and the former capital of, Kurka Rural District of the Central District of Astaneh-ye Ashrafiyeh County, Gilan province, Iran.[4] The capital of the rural district was transferred to the village of Kashal-e Azad Sara.[5]

[edit]At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 2,206 in 635 households.[2] The village did not appear in the censuses of 2011 and 2016.[6][7]
