The app was conceived in response to the alarming rise in child abuse and gender-based violence during the COVID-19 lockdown in India. According to reports, over 92,000 child abuse cases were registered in the first 11 days of the lockdown. The app was launched in 2022, with the goal of providing practical tools for personal safety.
