Choudhury attended Balmuildy Primary and then Bishopbriggs High School for five years.[6] In 1988, he graduated from University of Glasgow with a BSc degree in physics. In 1991, he graduated from School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London with a first-class honours LLB.[5][7]
