Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is a franchise cricket team based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. They were one of ten teams to compete in the 2022 Indian Premier League.[1] The Super Kings have previously lifted the IPL title four times (in 2010, 2011, 2018 and 2021)[2][3] and were the defending champions in 2022.

Part way through the season Ravindra Jadeja resigned as the team's captain, with MS Dhoni, the side's long-term captain, taking back the position.[4][5]
