The 2015 NFL season, the 96th regular season of the National Football League, is tentatively set to begin in September 2015, with the defending Super Bowl XLIX champion's home hosting the annual Kickoff game, the season conclude with Super Bowl 50, the league's championship game on Sunday February 7, 2016 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, CA.

Postseason

Wild Card Round

The wild card round of the playoffs will feature two or three wild card playoff qualilfiers from each conference being hosted by the two or three lowest seeded divisional winners. The one or two seeds in each conference will have first–round byes. The games will be played January 9-10, 2016.

Divisional Round

The divisional round games will be played on January 16-17, 2016 with the winners of each of the games in the wild card round visiting one of the two top seed teams in each conference.

Conference Championships

The conference championships will be played on Sunday January 24, 2016, with the AFC Championship Game at 3:00 pm Eastern Time on CBS and the NFC Championship Game following at 6:30 pm Eastern on Fox.

Super Bowl 50

Super Bowl 50, the 50th contesting of the Super Bowl, will decide the 2015 NFL champion on February 7, 2016. The game will take place at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The Super Bowl will be televised in the U.S by CBS. with a kickoff around 3:30 pm PST

Media

This will be the second season under a nine–year television contract with CBS, (almost all AFC afternoon games), Fox, (almost all NFC afternoon games), NBC, (Sunday Night Football games, Thanksgiving night game, and the Kickoff Game); and an eight–year contract with ESPN (Monday Night Football games).

Stadiums

This will be the Minnesota Vikings 2nd and final season at TCF Bank Stadium on the campus of the University of Minnesota before moving into their new stadium.
