The species name is a Greek noun used in apposition and means “a lofty spot,” in reference to the high elevation of the type locality.

Euxoa apopsis is a moth of the family Noctuidae.[2][3] It is known only from high elevations in the mountains of south-western British Columbia.[1][4]

The forewing length is 14–15 mm (0.55–0.59 in).[1]
