I don't think splitting scanf/printf into its own section is a good idea. It's good to have some level of centralization - I'll move te stuff back, you can reply here if you have some disagreement if you like :)

Thanks, Dysprosia. I have no objection in the general. It just seemed that the scanf/printf section was going to get very long - between escape sequences, placeholders, etc. I thought it left a big hole, but figured it could be filled in easily enough. Don't you think this subsection is going to overwhelm the topic?

C's simple IO system can be covered by just considering scanf and printf for the moment. We can get into the more nitty-gritty stuff with files and getc and fprintf and all that other wonderful stuff in another section :) Dysprosia 23:11, 10 Nov 2003 (UTC)

I guess I was referring to the other simple I/O methods. Can't get much simpler than gets(), puts(), and cout. These should at least be mentioned under the "simple" category. Maffu 23:20, 10 Nov 2003 (UTC)

C book and printf

Hello and greatings from the Wikipedia world. I went ahead and moved the C-specific content from the Wikipedia article on printf into the C book here, which it looks like you edit.
