1. (British) A short period of time, which is usually announced by ringing a bell and is between 5 and 15 minutes long, just before closing time. This is normally before the public house is no longer allowed to serve alcoholic beverages due to licensing laws.

   A pint of lager, please. - Sorry, mate, you missed last orders.
