C (Stokoe C) appears as
C (Stokoe C)
and that's too big (and the "100px" part doesn't work).— This unsigned comment was added by 80.133.117.213 (talk) at 13:14, November 1, 2014‎.

I removed the "improve" template from your post, since it doesn't work here and kept the content from showing. I'm not sure why the image is full-size, but I suspect it's a change in the template rather than in the entry itself. I'll ask about it at the Grease Pit, which is where we discuss technical issues. Hey you can't edit this page!

If anyone can do it and feels inclined, I wanted to make this change:

C: a programming language developed in the 1970s for general purpose computing

(see definition of Fortran)

Why? --Andrejj 19:46, 8 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

It's protected from edits from new and anonymous users ever since a persistent vandal kept readding extraneous cruft several years ago even after being blocked for his disruptive edits. Repeated vandalism warrants protection. — Carolina wren discussió 19:59, 8 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

A lot of stuff that ought to be under English initialism is under Translingual symbol, and so forth. It's all a big mish-mash. I noticed this because I was planning to add "(UK|politics|in election results) Conservative", and couldn't work out where. For extra brownie points, add that while you're cleaning up. Thanks! It looks better now. Oh, and I added the UK politics thing. I'm gonna call it cleaned up after 7 years, Eq. --Cien pies 6 (talk) 20:31, 27 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

C is the lingua franca of programming

edit

C is the lingua franca of programming. We must all speak C, and therefore C is not just a programming language anymore – it’s a protocol that every general-purpose programming language needs to speak. --Backinstadiums (talk) 11:19, 31 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

In the “Styles” section, can you change the word “capital” to “uppercase”? 139.62.222.224 17:48, 1 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
