(mathematics) Delimits a norm or a norm-like function, distinguished from a norm denoted by ‖·‖.
(phonetics, rare) the triple pipe, a transcription for a second lateral click distinct from [ǁ].^[1]

Usage notes

The character U+2980 is recommended for the click letter by Unicode and is supported by SIL fonts (e.g. proper placement of IPA diacritics). The six basic ⦀-clicks are:

	Velar	Uvular
Voiceless ⦀̥	k͜⦀	q͜⦀
Voiced ⦀̬	ɡ͜⦀	ɢ͜⦀
Nasal ⦀̬̃	ŋ͜⦀	ɴ͜⦀
