Welcome to my user page.

I didn't expect to contribute much in terms of source texts, but have occasionally discovered that some important text is not yet available here, and eventually gave in to doing the work of adding it. I was shocked to find that none of the works of Henry Fielding were available when I started. As a pioneer of the English novel and major 18th century playwright, he deserves to have here a proper selection of his works. It also happens that this year (2007) marks his 300th birthday, so I am doubly eager to rectify the injustice of his long absence from Wikisource. I have begun with his most celebrated novel Tom Jones.

I also am very interested in adding translations of, and content pertaining to, the theatre of ancient Athens. I have added not only several sourced copies of Greek plays, but also books and articles about Athenian playwrights, and have established a Portal for the drama of ancient Greece.
