A PD-USGov image of a federal prison. Horrid-quality: it's tiny (200x150 px), it's blurry, and it only depicts a tiny portion of the subject. I drove past the place today and have a photo to upload (6016x4000 px), so this image will soon be replaced. This nomination should not be closed as "delete" until I come here and leave a link to the new photo or until the new photo's on the prison article. File:2013 Now TV box.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Danielcrawford91 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Seems like this image may fail WP:NFCC#1 - the object shown looks mostly utilitarian (and images thereof thus not derivative works), as such a free image could be obtained by photographing it. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 10:05, 29 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure if this logo meets the "selection and arrangement" standard for copyright protection as it's mostly coloured text. Opinions? Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 10:10, 29 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Jo-Jo Eumerus: It is an American logo so it is most certainly PD-textlogo. The US has a much higher TOO than that. --Majora (talk) 19:29, 29 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A screenshot of copyrighted work cannot be released under a free license. The copyright still belongs to the creators of that work (in this case Electronic Arts). So this would have to be under fair use. Which I don't believe qualifies as a screenshot from a singular mission does not significantly increase the reader's understanding of the game itself (WP:NFCCP #8) Majora (talk) 19:27, 29 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

File:Rio 2011 Soundtrack.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by DBZFan30 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Per WP:FILMSCORE, the current project consensus is "against having cover images in the album infoboxes in the film article. The poster image in the film infobox is sufficient for identification of the topic, and having cover images in the film article's album infoboxes is considered extraneous." The film poster at the top of the Rio (2011 film) article is nearly identical to this soundtrack cover. Mz7 (talk) 20:04, 29 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

File:Julie Maybury holding a framed photo of her daughter Kylie Maybury.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Paul Benjamin Austin (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

We already have two non-free images of the person on the article. This one is a violation of WP:NFCCP #3a and does not increase the reader's understanding of the topic at all. Majora (talk) 22:34, 29 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I thought that having a picture of Kylie's mother was OK. I'm happy to remove it if i was wrong. Paul Benjamin Austin (talk) 22:44, 29 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Paul Benjamin Austin: Thank you for removing it. You can speed up the process if you want by tagging it with {{db-g7}} as that will signal that the uploader requests deletion. --Majora (talk) 23:19, 29 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
