Development

edit

Where Winds Meet was first announced in 2022 at Gamescom.[8] Film director and martial arts choreographer Stephen Tung was brought on to work on the game's martial arts scenes.[3] The game was originally set to release in China in June 2024, but was delayed in order to add more content, according to The Wall Street Journal.[9][3][10] The developers later announced that the game will release in China for Windows on December 27, 2024, while iOS and Android version would be released in early 2025.[11][12][13] The game will use a proprietary game engine.[14]
