Greetings, fellow long-time editor! I saw this comment you left for an editor who was seeking an unblock and obviously needs a lot of guidance (and I am certain that English is not their first language). You said that you couldn't see their article that had been deleted... but in case you weren't aware of it, I have a tip to pass along where you can see at least part of a user's deleted contributions.

Go to the user's log (in this case, Special:Log/Abdulmuqtaddirkhan). The default view is "Main public log" with the checkbox "User creation log" enabled. For every page they create, that should display the first 400 or so characters of the text they used. It even works on pages that have since been deleted.

Another way of getting there is to select the user's edit history (in this case, Special:Contributions/Abdulmuqtaddirkhan). Then near the top, look for the "Results for" line and the small links beside it. One of them is "logs", which takes you to the page I described above.

Anyway, just thought I'd mention it in case you hadn't discovered it on your own. I find it very useful to find out what a user has been doing, especially if they are contesting a deletion or appealing a block. Cheers! --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:34, 20 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the hint! Hadn't thought of that. Looks like they started with an infobox each time tho, so the snippet doesn't include any of the prose :-) Yngvadottir (talk) 15:30, 20 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
