About Creat new artical (will probably be deleted by the time you read this)

Hi Tito-bhai,
Apologies for annoying you yet again. I am really struggling to understand what it going on here. This appears to be about a Bengali Hindu saint - "Thakur Sri Sri NitaiChaitanta paramhansadev" (why the two Sri-s?) - from the 14th Century AD and his current day followers.
Could you possibly have a little look into this?

Wikipedia Asian Month Updates

Hi Titodutta

Thanks you for joining the organizing team of Wikipedia Asian Month, here are a few updates.

  1. If you or your colleagues haven't set up a local page for Wikipedia Asian Month yet, here is a sample page for you to translate it to your local Wikipedia without worrying designing. Make sure you also localize this template and this subpage.
  2. If you already made the page, great job! Here are some changes on the sample page that you may also want to moderate your local page.
  3. Please make sure you make a clear statement that article about which county will not count on the local event. Usually are the countries primarily speak this language. For example, Hindu Wikipedia shall not count articles about India. Local organizers have the final say on this issue.
  4. Ask some Wikipedians to organize this event, and sign up to receive further updates at here.

Contact me on meta or facebook if you have any question! Thank you! Sent by User:AddisWang.

Wikipedia Asian Month

Hi Titodutta, I just set up the WAM page at English Wikipedia and put your name on it.--AddisWang (talk) 20:43, 20 October 2015 (UTC)

Hey Tito! Just letting you know that I've signed up an organizer, per Addis' invite. I've also created Template:WAM Welcome to invite users to the event. Feel free to edit it or suggest any changes. Thanks, ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 18:18, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

Wikipedia Asian Month update

Hi Titodutta

After nearly three months of preparation, Wikipedia Asian Month will start in a few days. Here are some changes and action items that need to be done in the next few days before the event starts:

  • As we discussed on meta, if the article is a list, it will not count. However, on the English Wikipedia, the rules have been changed so that a list that is promoted to a Featured List will be counted. Other Wikipedias that also have Featured Lists (BN, BA, FA, KO, HI, ID, JA, RU, UK, UR and ZH) are invited to consider and add this rule.
  • There will be two CentralNotice banners used during the event. Please translate these into your language. It should take a maximum of 3 minutes. One is for Ongoing, another is for ending. It will generate huge impact!
If you have any question regarding the banner in your language Wikipedia, free feel to leave a message on meta.
  • Any Asian topic will be counted. Topics do not have to be about geopgraphy. You can make a clear statement so that participants understand this.
  • For smaller communities, it is okay to reduce the standard from 3500 bytes and 300 words. I will suggest no lower than 2500 Bytes and 200 words. Please report this change on meta.
  • I will make a short video demo about how to use the judging tool. This should be done no later than November 10. I would recommend organizers not start judging articles before that if you plan to use the judging tool.
  • Ask some Wikipedians in your community to assist you if you are the only organizer. Tell them most work has already been done. There is only a little work for being an organizer from this point forward.
  • For any questions or thought about Wikipedia Asian Month, you can leave a message here. I'm monitoring this page 12 hours everyday.

Thank you! Sent by User:AddisWang.

CVU Academy

I tried to sign up a year ago but believe every trainer was busy at the time. I am now back into Wikipedia and would like to be active with rollback rights and using some of the available anti-vandalism tools such as Stiki. I was denied rollback rights as I do not have an "experience" with anti-vandalism. Was wondering if you would be willing to take me on as a trainee so that I can learn how to identify vandalism easier. My edits now mainly consist of creating smaller articles and updating others which is kind of getting boring. Looking to expand what I have the ability to do. Any help would be appreciated. --CNMall41 (talk) 03:06, 2 October 2015 (UTC)

Since you have been editing without reply, I will assume the answer is "no." Thanks for the consideration. --CNMall41 (talk) 02:05, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
No, I was very busy with travels and workshops. You may see many of the recent talk page messages went unanswered, i am handling all these now, Sorry for the Sure, we may start anytime you want. --Tito Dutta (talk) 12:04, 13 October 2015 (UTC)
Understood. Do you want to hold off for a week or so? I'm not going anywhere in the short term? --CNMall41 (talk) 03:23, 14 October 2015 (UTC)
Actually, I think I have the hang of it. I have been watching the recent changes page and clicking on "diff" to see if there is anything that constitutes vandalism. Many are test edits so I simply restore the old version with an edit comment and the cases where it is purely vandalism, I use rollback. Thanks again for your time and if you have any suggestions, I welcome them on my talk page. --CNMall41 (talk) 00:41, 30 October 2015 (UTC)

New section

Hello, my name is Ethan. I've been on Wikipedia for about a year and am interested in learning more about fighting vandalism. I have been looking at the recent chances page and reverting but I would like to move on to other tools such as Huggle and STiki. I have a little bit of experience with anti-vandalism. Is there any way you can take me on as a trainee? Thanks, Ethan. Eteethan (talk) 21:25, 9 November 2015 (UTC)

a Letter from Marina Coareah'd

§i I am writing to the nuns and swami Prabudhananda which is either alive or haunting me. I have several grievances about the mind conduct of the meditators of the convent. 1) I had to move 3 times my graduate year at Berkeley because one of the favorites was a Prabudhananda disciple2) I asked Swami Prabudhananda for a Buddhist initiation at the time and he deliberately refused and did something to my heart and Sri Ramakrishna never accepted the initiation between us.3)I was promised $27,000.00 to finish my education at UCB and not one of you cared to enforcce the promise of a senior Swami Ashokananda. Which made his words untrue.4)You asked for yin yang status and when it came you elevated youselves to think there was a mental illness rather than what it was.5) While being forced to a poor consciousness I never heard from any of you again and v.v.6)Lastly I was prayed out all of my celebrations in life and I'm disappointed in the conduct of all of you. Sri Ramakrishna wanted perfect people and I'm sure He is very disappointed in his movement sometimes.7) I have a boyfriend named Kenneth and he loves honoring the virgin and I feel blessed that I found my true beloved after a 32 years of sexual abstinence in the world while searching for him and I'm 55 now.8) good will I am hoping to get to knpw the new Swami TuTuiyananda by staying occasionally staying @ the Bucchanon apt. that I heard was willed to me along with Elna's cabin @ Lake Tahoe. Or move in the Berkeley House willed to me ,Mr. Weislander. I never received any of these perhaps they will change to gifts.9)Perhaps you need to make amends with past relationships before you get illumined.10) 1-(510)467-2985 Lovingly, Marina — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.248.180.187 (talk) 03:47, 8 November 2015 (UTC)

1st week of WAM

Hi

I'm very excited that Wikipedia Asian Month has many great articles already in the first ten days. To better help us understand how we are we doing on Wikipedia Asian Month, here are some small tasks:

  1. Please update the data of your Wikipedia at m:Wikipedia Asian Month/Data, it does not need to be accurate.
  2. A few Wikipedia has join the WAM, you can update it on the local page. Azerbaijani Wikipedia, Bulgarian Wikipedia, Cantonese Wikipedia, French Wikipedia, Latvian Wikipedia, Sindhi Wikipedia, Spanish Wikipedia and Vietnamese Wikipedia.
  3. Try to get some media coverage on your local medias. Report the media coverage and find resources at here.
  4. There is a user box that you can encourage participants to put on their user page. m:Template:User Asian Month‎

Thank you very much for organising Wikipedia:Wikipedia Asian Month. Could you please review the AfD discussion on Thongtip Ratanarat and either close this or give a recommendation, what should be added to keep the article? --NearEMPTiness (talk) 06:05, 12 November 2015 (UTC)

Wikipedia Asian Month

Dear Titodutta. Thanks for organizing the Wikipedia Asian Month. With all due respect: I think that the Portuguese Wikipedia should be also taken into consideration. After all, there are Goa and Macau forming part of the former Portuguese colonial empire (the Spanish Wikipedia is participating). Best regards, --Fadesga (talk) 01:17, 11 November 2015 (UTC)

  • Hey you do not need to ask me to start this initiative on your Wikipedia. Just go ahead, discuss on your Village Pump and start the Asian Month page on your Wikipedia. You may follow the same format that we are following on this Wikipedia or Meta. Let me know if I can help :) --Tito Dutta (talk) 07:48, 12 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi Tito,

I am also from Kolkata. We have a group named Kolkata Rainbow Pride Festival and I have created a page on Wikipedia about this. But wikipedia is not allowing me to post the detailed description about this as it thinks the description is violating copyrights of the group. The description reads :

http://pebbles-and-the-reckless-ripples.blogspot.in/2015/11/kolkata-rainbow-pride-festival-krpf.html

Please suggest me how can I include this to

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Swami Vivekanand University, Madhya Pradesh, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page University Grants Commission. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
