The article is of importance because the person is involved with the mathematical and IT inventions, patents, and Indian media has highlighted his works. Look following press article: http://www.bhaskar.com/article/c-16-665295-NOR.html The article is in Hindi, but it must be noted that concerned media house publishing this article, namely, Dainik Bhaskar, is the largest newspaper group of India. Notes on supercomputing and division by zero

edit

Hi Ankur,

I'm guessing you haven't had the opportunity to discuss your work with professional mathematicians and computer scientists. The division by zero work shows that you are able to "think outside the box", but it's not a particularly interesting observation. (When I was about your age, I figured out I could create a valid mathematics where a>a; for someone with just a high school mathematics background, this was terribly exciting, but once you figure out that abstract algebra exists, it's not nearly so impressive.)

Your "supercomputing" work seems to have reinvented symbolic arithmetic, which has been around since at least the early 1970s.

If one of your goals is to have your own wikipedia article, let me point you to WP:ACADEMIC. The coin-of-the-realm is your h-index, the maximum value of n where n is the number of papers you've published that have been cited in at least n other papers. Erik Demaine is around 50, and he's definitely notable enough for a wikipedia article. Mine is clocking in at 10 and I'm definitely not notable. A full professor in CompSci at an American research university should have an h-index of around 20, and that's a good baseline for a en.WP notability as well. Patents tend not to count, as they aren't peer reviewed.

So anyway, you might want to worry a lot less about your marketing and redirect that energy into getting into a good graduate school.

Best,
