Image Tagging for Image:Cross Fusion Lan.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Cross Fusion Lan.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Cross Fusion Spikeman.jpg)
editThanks for uploading Image:Cross Fusion Spikeman.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. editYou didn't need to use email to give me your opinion, my talk page would have been fine. Since most people don't use their real name, I doubt I'm doing a disservice...besides, even if there was, it wouldn't be a good idea for them to have a user name so close to mine. —Doug Bell talk 13:02, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

Yugioh Wiki
editWe dont need to give every card in List of Notable Yu-Gi-Oh! cards a link to the Yugioh wiki. It makes the article look messy, and the links didn't work anyway. An External Links section would be better suited to provided the links. Drake Clawfang 16:49, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Regarding Gaia Online
editIt seems you and I have differing opinions regarding whether or not certain sections of Gaia Online should be included. I'd like it if we could discuss it on the talk page before either of us start removing any of them.
Why? Because of WP:3RR? We aren't reverting each other, at least not anymore. My last edit was a straight-up edit, not a revert. So we shouldn't be in violation of 3RR, right? Then again, you might be right. I don't really know that much about Wikipedia policies. But according to WP:3RR, the violation is for users who make more than 3 reverts within a 24-hour period. We aren't reverting, simply modifying the text, so that should be alright. Ksy92003 04:03, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

Seed Destiny
editAdding information is, of course, not vandalism. But the section we disagree on is not information - it is unsourced original research and personal opinion. If you're going to say that it has been criticized, you need to provide a reliable source for that criticism.
Also, 'clip' show' is completely undefined. Does it mean reuse of footage in battle sequences? Does that mean Destiny's use of recap epepisodes? Does it mean the use of flashback as a technique? None of those are limited to Destiny, nor Fukuda's work, nor the Gundam franchise; and to say the usage is 'excessive' is a personal opinion.
For example, in my personal opinion, Gundam Seed overused stock footage in battle sequences, and Seed Destiny was notably better in that regard. But that's my personal opinion, and thus does not belong in an encyclopedia entry.
I do apologize for saying 'vandalism' - that was a hasty judgement and a failure to assume good faith on my part. Unlike most people who repeatedly repost deleted sections, you are clearly willing to discuss matters. Edward321 14:52, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Wikipediholism test
editYes, I do know that the decimals are there just for fun. But it's still a test right? The decimals are not going to be very important nor significant if you have a big number (compare to the impact of 0.5 on a score ouf of 10000 to a score of 0.5 out of 10) . Speedy deletion of Template:PokeDescription.
editA tag has been placed on Template:PokeDescription, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a discussion at Wikipedia:Templates for deletion/Log/2006 December 28#Template:Pokestart. If you can indicate how Template:PokeDescription is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Template talk:PokeDescription saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we request you to follow these instructions. Funpika 19:47, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

April 2007
editHello. I'm in agreement with the recent revert you made on Spider-man. Not sure if you already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit was inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Best regards, Wǐkǐɧérṃǐť(Talk) 01:06, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

The intended benefit was a more concise link that can be read faster. But now I see from Charizard that the distinction is helpful if there is more than one link to Bulbapedia. However, Wikipedia:External links says to "Try to avoid linking to multiple pages from the same website; instead, try to find an appropriate linking page within the site." The article Charizard (Pokémon) at Bulbapedia clearly links to Ash's Charizard, so the last link isn't really necessary. If both are to be linked though, they can still be condensed into one clear line like this:
- Charizard (species) and Ash's Charizard at Bulbapedia, a Pokémon-centric wiki
Would you agree to give the {{Bulbadex}} template an optional parameter so the above can be displayed?
For articles with only one link to Bulbapedia, such as Cresselia, the "as a species" may be unneeded as it should be pretty obvious what the link goes to. The only thing is it may be good to make clear that this is an actual wiki article rather than a pokedex page of stats.
If you want to revert my edit, go ahead, though as a minor point "at Bulbapedia" is preferred over "on Bulbapedia" because it sounds better and it's a convention with most if not all other external link templates.
I didn't edit the related {{Serebiidex}} because I have no idea whether "fourth-generation Pokédex entry" is essential info. PsyPoke should probably get a template too, and in fact all of these can be merged into one template if all Pokemon articles should have them. –Pomte 02:06, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- When you're ready, move it to Template:PokeLinks and I can help update all the species articles to use it. I've added a third parameter and here's what it shows:
The final version of this is here
- Official Pokémon website
- Charizard’s fourth-generation Pokédex entry at Serebii.net
- Charizard (as a species) and Ash's_Charizard at Bulbapedia, a Pokémon-centric wiki
- Charizard at PsyPoke's Psydex
- I'm trying to find a way to get rid of that underscore in Ash's_Charizard without having to add a fourth parameter. Instead of pokemon.com, what about the more specific http://www.pokemon.com/Pokedex/flash.asp –Pomte 02:53, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
I had not noticed that this was deleted as I have not been active either. You can try to get it restored at deletion review but make sure you address all concerns in the TfD. If a particular Bulbapedia article is really good then I guess it can be manually linked in an external link section. {{PokeLinks}} still exists as it went unnoticed; maybe bring it up with the Pokemon WikiProject. –Pomte 01:00, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Cross Fusion Laserman2.jpg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Cross Fusion Laserman2.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Project FMF (talk) 02:39, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

editTempest- Though I would normally not ask this, SMB3 has just begun its GA nomination. Because part of the GA criteria is that no edit wars are taking place, I respectfully ask that we not revert back and forth. Of course, if you would like to comment on the image's inclusion at the nomination, you are more than welcome to do so. Perhaps the reviewer can offer their perspective as well. But because it started with the picture in there I would like to keep it that way while it's being evaluated. Does that sound reasonable? (Guyinblack25 talk 22:55, 2 February 2009 (UTC))

List of Master Grade Gundam models
editI took another look at this today and decided that it violates wp:NOTCATALOG. I also removed similar lists from related articles, but those had content besides the lists so I didn't nominate them for deletion. NJGW (talk) 02:45, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, it can be a pretty gray line between useful information and TMI/spam. The character info is still at all the other Gundam articles, so it seems the only thing missing is the catalog numbers and MSRPs... which belong in some other database. I know how tough it is to have hard work taken out. If you want, DGG (the closing admin) can get the info for you so you can recreate the tables at another wiki. Tempest, the English-language Shaman King manga and anime both use Joco. Therefore SK articles on Wikipedia must use the name "Joco" - Furthermore, I will consolidate it into the "Characters of SK" article. I understand that people may want to use the original Japanese case, but in this case we can't do that. WhisperToMe (talk) 13:33, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve.
