D-Kandjafa (musician) moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, D-Kandjafa (musician), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Mirrors

edit

Thanks for contributing to the article Content industry. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Most mirrors are clearly labeled as such, but some are in violation of our license and do not provide the correct attribution. Please help by adding alternate sources to the article you edited! If you need any help or clarification, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. Thank you. Kuru (talk) 23:07, 19 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

I would like to know those citations that mirrored Wikipedia so I remove them please Suzeen Simon (talk) 23:30, 19 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
So far you've added "dbpedia" here, "en-academic" and "liquisearch" here, and "artsandculture.google.com" here. I've already removed all of them. Please carefully evaluate your sources before adding them; all of these were identified in the source as derived from Wikipedia. Kuru (talk) 11:30, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Mirrors, again, and other poor sourcing

edit

Please note the detailed response I gave you in the warning about using copies of Wikipedia as sources above. It appears this has not helped.

  • In this edit, "hyperleap" identifies itself as scaped from Wikipedia. "unionpedia" and "alchetron" are simple and clearly defined Wikipedia mirrors. "famousfix" and "hindlish" are junk scrapers.
  • In this edit "medium" blogs are a depreciated source, see WP:MEDIUM
  • In this edit, the "gamespot" source is to an internet forum posting, and links to copyvios are prohibited.

I think you're probably putting unsourced direct quotes from articles into google and using the first results you get - this is generally a bad practice as you'll get a wide variety of scrapers and mirrors as the first hits. You must still evaluate the sources, per WP:RS, to ensure they pass even basic standards. Thanks. Kuru (talk) 13:43, 24 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Okaleke

edit

The article Okaleke has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NGEO, lacks any sources or references

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of D-Kandjafa (musician)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on D-Kandjafa (musician) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/D-Kandjafa (musician). When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. This item has been returned to draftspace as the review procedure was not completed. Please note review should be completed before a move to mainspace; items are not 'moved to article space for review'. Please see WP:NSCHOOL and the page(s) linked there, for more information. Please note that if moved again without completing review, it may be liable to deletion especially as there has a previous return to draft and an earlier decline. Thank you. Please don't move articles into the main space if they have already been declined at AfC. That is a good indication that they are not ready to be published, and will likely be deleted, which is in no one's interest.
Also, your edit comment about moving drafts "into main space for review" makes no sense. The AfC process is for reviewing, and that happens in the draft space, not the main article space. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 11:48, 29 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of KaSelly

edit

If this was the first article that you created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

The page KaSelly has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appeared to be about a real person or group of people that did not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Deletion discussion about Bret Kamwi

edit

Hello Suzeen Simon, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Bret Kamwi, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bret Kamwi.

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|SafariScribe}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

(Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)
