Odd Fellows
editIt appears the Odd Fellows was also segregated? Black belonged to the Grand United Order of Odd Fellows? FloridaArmy (talk) 20:53, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
- Yes! The Grand United Order of Odd Fellows in America was the Black odd fellows group in America. The Grand United Order of Odd Fellows was/is the British organization which was open to all people in England. When the Peter Odgen and others were rejected from the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, they gained a charter (and therefore legitimacy) from the Grand United Order of Odd Fellows in England. Women in Red
editHi there, Shshepherd0, and welcome to Women in Red. It's good to see you intend to help us improve coverage of women on Wikipedia. I see you have already made a good start with Kady Van Deurs. I hope there will be many more. If you haven't already done so, you might find it useful to look through our Primer. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 10:49, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
