Before posting a message here please consider if this is the correct venue. If you wish to discuss me (SSSB), my edits (read the second paragragh if you have an issue with an edit request I implemented) or you wish to bring my attention to a certain matter, this is the correct venue (there are other cases where this is the correct venue).

However, this is not the correct venue to make edit requests. These requests should be made on the talk page of the page which you would like to be edited, if you request an edit on a page in which I have an interest it will appear on my watchlist, I will see it. If you have a problem with an edit request I implemented, please consider if it might not be better to respond where the edit request was made (you may use {{ping}} or {{u}} to attract my attention). Thank you,

Use of boldface on driver nationality articles

edit

Hi SSSB, I saw that you reverted my edits on Formula One drivers from East Germany and Formula One drivers from Rhodesia for improper use of boldface. I understand why I was reverted since it wasn't proper use within the MOS; however, the following nationality articles all use boldface in the same manner to show former drivers. Should these have boldface removed, or is there another criteria that allows them to be there?

Russia, Switzerland, Sweden, Uruguay, Japan, Denmark, Ireland

Thank you in advance! GalacticVelocity08 (talk) 14:48, 17 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

@GalacticVelocity08: as far as I'm concerned, they should be removed. It only exists there to draw emphasis and not only does it look strange it is pointless. It is quite obvious when your reading it that those are the names. SSSB (talk) 21:30, 17 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

edit

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:38, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
